Visiting ledger.com/start is your official gateway to setting up a Ledger hardware wallet securely. From here you’ll download Ledger Start, initialize your device, and generate a 24‑word recovery phrase—all with step‑by‑step guidance .


🔐 Download & Setup


  1. Unbox & verify your Ledger Nano S Plus or Nano X.

  2. Go to ledger.com/start, download Ledger Start for your OS, and install.

  3. Initialize your device: set a PIN, back up the 24‑word phrase, and verify it. Then install crypto apps like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana via Ledger Start .


🔄 Logging In & Out


Logging in


Ledger Start doesn’t require traditional “login.” Instead you connect your Ledger device and unlock it with your PIN. You can also enable the Password Lock in Settings → General so that reopening the app requires a password .


Logging out


There’s no direct “Log out” button. Instead, you can go to Settings → Help → Reset Ledger Start, which clears all local data—effectively logging you out . Alternatively, uninstalling and reinstalling the app achieves the same result.
